I'm not a career politician. I'm a neighbor, a parent, and a community member who believes District 3 deserves better representation.
My story
I moved to Carlsbad over two decades ago when it was a quiet, unpretentious coastal community that was still affordable. I raised my family here, and watched this city change faster than many of us expected.
I've had multiple careers spanning 30 years in software, wireless technology, government, education and business consulting. I have a Masters degree in Educational Technology and Performance Improvement. I have helped large and small organizations and governments become more nimble and efficient in their processes and procedures. I understand how government works, how cities grow, how decisions get made, and critically, how people get left out of those decisions when no one at the table is fighting for them.
Running for City Council isn't something I took lightly. But after witnessing first hand how slowly city government operates and how meaningful community input is often ignored, I knew I had to step up. District 3 needs a voice that puts neighbors first — not developers, not outside money, not political ambition.
