Responsible Growth
Growth is inevitable, but it must be thoughtful. We want businesses that will provide good jobs and good tax revenues, not empty data centers. I'll push for smart development that respects our infrastructure, our environment, and the people who already call Carlsbad home.
Community Voice
Residents deserve a seat at the table. I will always listen to the public before deciding, and make sure District 3 voters are heard and not just consulted after the fact.

About Wayland
A neighbor, not a politician.
I call Carlsbad my home for over two decades. As a longtime resident, I have seen firsthand how decisions made at City Hall shape the neighborhoods where families live, work, and raise their children. My campaign is rooted in one simple belief: the people of Carlsbad deserve a council member who listens first and acts with principle. This isn't a stepping stone for me; serving Carlsbad is my primary goal.
I'm running because I believe Carlsbad deserves a voice that puts community first. Not myself. Not developers. Not outside interests. Our community. (That's me serving my own-styled paella to neighbors. I have also served this dish to veterans and the homeless.)
